Abstract
The Junge Choreografen (Young Choreographers) series has long since become more than an insider tip – and not only among dance enthusiasts. Every two years, dancers of Zurich Ballet and the Junior Ballet interested in creating choreography present their own compositions developed during this event series on the Opera House’s Studio Stage. They have the fascinating task of discovering dance from another perspective and inspiring one another to present an evening of ballet. The young artists rehearse their new creations with their dancer colleagues, and also have the opportunity to try their hand at set and costume design. Surprising experiments, clever glimpses or sensual highlights – the «small format» of these performances enhances the intensity and choreographic variety of such a varied ballet evening.
