Abstract
Not only with dramatic performances as Tosca or Desdemona, but also with empathetically performed song recitals the soprano Anja Harteros inspires her audience worldwide. After Anja Harteros' song recital at the Zurich Opera House two years ago, the NZZ raved about a «lavishly broad palette of colour and expression» and about «great melodramatic cinema». Before the much-acclaimed singer can be seen as Leonora in La forza del destino from June, she will perform here with a song recital. Together with pianist Wolfram Rieger, she will sing selected songs by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Hugo Wolf.
