Live broadcast on Sechseläutenplatz
Since the first live broadcast in June 2014, oper für alle has thrilled thousands of fans year after year and become an integral part of Zurich’s calendar of events. This year, too, the Opernhaus Zürich will transform the Sechseläutenplatz into an open-air stage and present Jacques Offenbach’s fantastical opera Les Contes d’Hoffmann on the last weekend of the season. The preliminary programme starts at 17.00h, the opera performance at 19.00h.
The evening before, you can also look forward to the third edition of the popular sister event kino für alle. Bring your family and friends – your folding chairs, picnic blankets and picnic baskets, too – and take in an open-air summer evening together, accompanied by fabulous entertainment.

oper für alle is part of the festive farewell to Andreas Homoki's directorship, which ends in July 2025. In 13 years of working together, Homoki and his team have left their mark on the opera house. On the last weekend of the season, we will be celebrating this important period with a variety of events – and we cordially invite you to join in the celebrations!
