Abstract
The “Next Generation” series gives emerging choreographers the opportunity to step into the spotlight. Every two years, dancers from Ballett Zürich and the Junior Ballett Zürich present original choreographies created especially for this series on the Opernhaus Zürich Studiobühne. Working closely with their fellow ensemble members, the dancers rehearse their new creations and are also given the opportunity to explore stage and costume design. The evening’s “small-scale” format enhances both intensity and choreographic diversity, resulting in a multifaceted ballet programme filled with surprising experiments, incisive dance snapshots, and sensual highlights.
