Ann-Katrin Stöcker

Ann-Katrin Stöcker studied piano, vocal coaching, and conducting in Frankfurt, as well as accompaniment, song interpretation, and chamber music at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She is a multiple national prizewinner of the “Jugend musiziert” competition, was a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association, and received support from Yehudi Menuhin’s “Live Music Now” foundation. In addition to an active concert career as a soloist and chamber musician, she was engaged as a répétiteur at Theater Augsburg, the Staatstheater Braunschweig, and Oper Frankfurt while still a student. From 2012 to 2014, she worked at the Staatstheater Braunschweig as a répétiteur with conducting duties and as assistant to the General Music Director; in 2013, she made her conducting debut there with Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” Since 2014, she has been a répétiteur and deputy head of musical studies at Zurich Opera House, where she has conducted productions such as “Gold!”, “Konrad or the Child out of the Tin Can,” “Coraline,” “Odyssey,” “Jim Knopf and Lukas the Engine Driver,” and “The Land of Smiles.” In 2020, she served as Assistant Conductor at the Bayreuth Festival, and in 2022, she conducted “Così fan tutte” at the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival. She collaborates regularly with Simone Young on projects with the Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne and the Orchestre de Paris and remains active as a pianist and chamber music partner.

Hanna-Elisabeth Müller studierte bei Rudolf Piernay, mit dem sie nach wie vor eng zusammenarbeitet. 2014 erlebte sie mit ihrem Auftritt als Zdenka in Strauss’ Arabella an der Seite von Renée Fleming und Thomas Hampson unter der Leitung von Christian Thielemann bei den Salzburger Osterfestspielen ihren internationalen Durchbruch und wurde kurz darauf von der Zeitschrift Opernwelt als «Nachwuchskünstlerin des Jahres» ausgezeichnet. 2012 bis 2016 gehörte sie dem Ensemble der Bayerischen Staatsoper an. 2017 debütierte sie als Marzelline in Fidelio an der Met in New York. Es folgte ihr Opern- und Rollendebüt als Donna Anna in Robert Carsens Don Giovanni an der Mailänder Scala. In dieser Rolle war sie ausserdem an der Bayerischen Staatsoper und an der Wiener Staatsoper zu erleben. 2018 debütierte sie am Opernhaus Zürich als Ilia Idomeneo. Heute gastiert sie regelmässig an weltweit führenden Opernhäusern und Festivals wie der Bayerischen Staatsoper München, der Wiener Staatsoper, der Met, der Dresdner Semperoper, dem Teatro alla Scala, dem Royal Opera House und bei den Salzburger Festspielen. Zu ihren Konzerthöhepunkten gehören Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder mit dem WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln unter Christoph Eschenbach, Bergs Sieben Frühe Lieder mit den Berliner Philharmonikern unter Paavo Järvi und Schumanns Faustszenen mit dem Orchestre de Paris unter Daniel Harding. 2017 erschien ihre erste Lied-CD Traumgekrönt, und 2020 folgte Reine de Cœur beim Label Pentatone, mit dem sie eine Exklusivvereinbarung eingegangen ist.

Yannick Debus

Yannick Debus studied voice at the Lübeck University of Music, the Basel University of Music, and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. In parallel, he studied music theory and ear training in Lübeck. During his studies, he performed at the theatres of Kiel and Lübeck, including the main role of the Poet in Cimarosa’s "L’impresario in angustie." Within the framework of the Junge Oper Schloss Weikersheim, he appeared in 2017 as the Father in Humperdinck’s "Hänsel und Gretel" and in 2018 sang Guglielmo in "Così fan tutte" at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. At Theater Basel, he performed Kaiser Overall in Viktor Ullmann’s "Der Kaiser von Atlantis," Figaro in Milhaud’s "La mère coupable," and at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music Emireno in Handel’s "Ottone, re di Germania." From 2020 to 2022, he was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House and has since returned several times as a guest. There, he sang roles including Kilian ("Der Freischütz"), Speaker and Second Priest ("The Magic Flute"), Thierry ("Dialogues des Carmélites"), Pieter in Stefan Wirth’s "Girl with a Pearl Earring," the title role in "Jakob Lenz," Dr. Falke ("Die Fledermaus"), Lesbus ("Agrippina"), Don Fernando ("Fidelio"), and Lescaut ("Manon"). He maintains a close collaboration with René Jacobs, under whom he performed Orpheus in Telemann’s eponymous opera in Basel, Apollo in Handel’s "Apollo e Dafne," Kilian and Ottokar on the CD release tour of "Der Freischütz," and in "Israel in Egypt." Recent engagements include a song recital at the Zurich Opera House, Telemann’s "Orpheus" at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre, and Brahms’ "Ein Deutsches Requiem" with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra under Florian Helgath.
